Sick people from South Sudan are facing lack of food and shelter, insecurity, and hunger in Khartoum, Nairobi, and Kampala.

There were many things to see but I focused my eyes on the sick people and the places they live. There were many sounds to hear but I focused on the cries of the people who grieved for the love ones they lost. There were many things to know but all I carred was that many people who lacked health services in South Sudan including my own people travelled to the big cities in north Sudan or Kenya or Uganda to seek for the medical treatments. As a witness, allow me to be a messenger that will educate the world about what exactly happening in my African remote area, Alal. What happening is big for the people to understand but in what follows,I would like to make it as simple as to be understood.

The unlucky one died without treatment and those who got help always travelled to Nairobi Kampala or Khartoum, one of the fewer places for some people to get the treatment. From my experiences, renting an apartment in Khartoum or Nairobi or Kampala is very expensive, especially, for the poor people like those of Alal Community. Even though the minimum of rent is about $150.00 per a month, someone who have no money can not afford it. Nowadays, patients from the Alal Community who went to the big cities are either have no places to stay or live in new apartments (like this one above) that has no wall, windows and doors. Although I rented the apartment for my mother to stay when she was in Northern Sudan, many others lived in no-windows-no-doors apartments and they faced/are facing insecurity, cool during the Winter, hate during the Summer, hunger and lack of water for bath and drink.

With that in mind, the only solution for the Alal Community people and all other people from South Sudan who are facing the same situation, is to build permanent clinics and create job for them so that they can live and do their treatment at home in South Sudan.
